Happy 4th Birthday, Sweet Carter!
Where has the time gone?? Carter is 4! It seems like just yesterday, we were bring him home.
- Carter at 4 years, you are 34 lbs, and 40 inches. You're finally eating more and being less picky. You gained 2 lbs since May!
- You love music, specifically the Fresh Beat Band, and you love to play musical instruments.
- You are very into superheroes; your favorite is Captain America.
- You are still taking a nap most days. We're trying to cut that out, since you start Pre-K soon!
- You love your sister very much, and you two play pretty well together. Sometimes you get a little rough, but that's what Big brothers are for, right??
- You bedtime is 8, but recently it's been 9.
- You are kind, and sweet. I have never met a little boy as caring as you are. Your daddy and I are so blessed!

OCMD 2012
What a great vacation with my family. We had a blast, even though the weather could have been better. There was a group hoping to go deep sea fishing, and it never happened, because of the wind and rain. Excuse to go again next year? I think so! Carter and Sadie absolutely loved the beach, which was no shock to me. They love to be outside! It was a very relaxing vacation. Many thanks to my grandparents for making it happen.
More pictures to come, stay tuned!!

Catch up!
Wow, it's been a while. I really need to keep up with this blog, and I kick myself for not doing it. The days go by so fast, and I want to remember every.single.second.
Sadie's had a verbal explosion the past few weeks, and is getting much better with talking. She's still full of spunk though! And a bear after naps. I can't believe that she is already 18 months. She weighs about 25lbs. Her 18 month check-up is on June 26th, so we'll find out her height then. She says Momma, Dadda, Pap, Brother, Elmo, Emma, Brenda, Lys, Eat, Beach (which sounds like something else...use your imagination!), Milk, Out, Baby, Luvyou, plus many more. She hasn't really started putting words together yet, with the exception of luvyou, and I don't count that, becuase she says it like one word. She runs everywhere, and loves to rough house with her brother.
Carter is still as sweet as pie, and a great big brother. I can't believe he is going to be 4 in 2 short weeks. I remember bringing him home from the hospital-it seems like yesterday! He's writing really well, he has his name and Sadie's name down pat. We're now working on all the other letters in the alphabet. He's still taking a nap everyday, and seems to really need it. We need to cut it out though, as he starts Pre-K in the fall, and it's every afternoon from 12:30 to 3. Pre-K, really??? He's also learning his sight words, and has most of them down pat...he's well on his way to reading. He continues to amaze me everyday! He's 34 lbs, and 41 inches. He has allergy testing next week, so hopefully we will be able to find out what is going on in that department, because he's had a lot of trouble lately. Keep your fingers crossed for him.
Matt's transition to his new job has gone better than expected. He's been working early shifts, so he's been home more than I thought. I think he's pretty happy with the choice he made.
June 30th, will mark 5 years of marriage for us..I can't believe it's been 5 years! What a wonderful 5 years, it has been.
I've put school on hold, apparently the school I was looking at, wasn't the best option. I'm now back to the hunting phase, and hopefully I'll be able to start in the Fall or Spring. I'm looking for an MBA or MS in Accouting program that is offered fully online, from a reputable, accredited school (and doesn't cost a billion $$$!). If anyone has any suggestions, let me know!

Change...
Is not always a bad thing, right? There will be a lot of change happening in our household the next couple months. It's all positive, it will just take an adjustment.
FIRST- Matt's going back to restaurant management. Yup, you read it right. He'll start back at Perkins on May 21, 2012, in route to his GM position and title. It was a big decision, and required a lot of thought, but I think he's very happy with the choice he made, and I'm VERY happy for him. Of course, it will mean more nights and evening hours, but it's a big advance in pay, a step up, and a job that he loves much more than his current one. I'm a little nervous about being home at night alone with my two scoundrels...but we'll be fine, once we get a routine down. If anyone has any quick and healthy dinner suggestions, please let me know!!
SECOND- I'm starting school, June 6th for my Master's of Science in Accounting. I decided I need to do it now, or, I may never do it. And, it's one step closer to my dream job. I'm taking classes online, so I will be able to do the work while the kiddos are sleeping, over my lunch hour, etc. I'm really excited about it!
Sooo...keep us in your thoughts as we begin these transitions!

Fun Weekend!
Friday, Carter called me at work, and asked me to bring home Papa John's. Who can resist that sweet little boy?? Saturday was crazy busy! I took Carter to my mom's house for a sleepover, and then Sadie and I went to the playground. We came home and she took a nap, and then we headed to Target, and met Carter and my parents at Red Robin for dinner. What a day! Sadie slept until 9:20 today, it was obvious we wore her out! Today we relaxed and played outside for a while. Tomorrow is back to work and class :( I wish the weekends could last forever!!

Carter Matthew 7/5/2008 to present!
Crazy, crazy, crazy how time flies. I can't believe this adorable little man will soon be FOUR!! It seems like just yesterday it was 7/5/2008, and I was doing laps around the hospital awaiting his arrival. Today he is the sweetest, smartest, most caring little boy I have ever met. He's in love with the Fresh Beat Band, and he knows every song by heart. He loves to dance, and sing, as well as read books and play outside. He's patient, and laid back, and he has a huge heart.
It's been awhile since I blogged...
Wow, it's been awhile. I am going to jump back on board of the blogging bandwagon. Time just got away from me (who knew, with two kids and all)! I definitely want this site to be sometime my kids can come back to when they are older and remissness (and of course, mommy and daddy, too)! So I need to get on the ball. I'm hoping today to get a post done of both Carter and Sadie, birth to present =) Then I need to catch up on the last few months. Be ready for lots of pictures, as we have done some pretty exciting stuff...
